What is a bunion?
A bunion is a bony bump that forms at the base of the big toe joint. It happens when certain bones in the front of your foot move. The tip of the big toe is pulled toward the little toe, forcing the joint at the base of the big toe to protrude. It hurts the bunion and makes it inflamed.
